SANTO DOMINGO, República Dominicana.-  "Chantal" ha obligado a las autoridades haitianas a declarar la alerta roja ante su paso por el país, informaron este miércoles fuentes de protección civil en Puerto Príncipe. "En estos momentos todo el país está preocupado por los estragos que puede producir la tormenta", indicaron fuentes de protección civil a medios locales. Las mismas advirtieron que la población deberá abandonar zonas de riesgo donde se podrían producir deslizamientos de tierra y desbordamientos de ríos. Dichas fuentes agregaron que "todas las regiones de Haití" continúan bajo la amenaza de "Chantal" y en alerta roja.
